CHEMICAL PEEL

WHAT IS IT ?
A chemical peel is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands. A
chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated
skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE ?
It's an outpatient procedure. The professional who does your
peel will first clean your skin thoroughly. Then they will apply
one or more chemical solutions -- such as glycolic acid,
trichloroacetic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, or carbolic acid
(phenol) -- to small areas of your skin. That creates a
controlled wound, letting new skin take its place.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER PROCEDURE ?

.
 Hydrating moisturizers and sunscreen must be used regularly for 7 days after the procedure.
 You will be able to return to work or other activities immediately after your chemical peel.
 Peels can be repeated in 2-4 weeks. A series of 3-6 treatments may be required depending on your
goals and skin condition.
