WHAT IS IT ?
Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) is a procedure used to treat droopy eyelids. A
doctor removes skin, muscle, and sometimes fat that may be causing the area
around your eyes to sag.
WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE ?
Blepharoplasties are performed on an outpatient basis. For the upper eyelid , an
incision is typically made along its natural crease. Once the incision is made, fat deposits are repositioned or
removed, muscles and tissue are tightened, and excess skin is removed. For the lower eyelid, an incision is
usually made just below the lash line so that excess skin can be removed
HOW IS THE RECOVERY ?
It’s important to rest for a few days immediately following eyelid surgery.
You might experience some swelling and pain. Ibuprofen is recommended
to relieve these symptoms and also ice packs.
