Burn Management

Effective management of burns from the outset is crucial for optimal recovery. Initial treatment involves appropriate medications, dressings, and, if necessary, surgical interventions. Prompt and correct primary treatment is essential to prevent long-term complications such as hypertrophic scars, burn contractures, and deformities.

At our facility, we prioritize burn treatment and ensure that patients receive timely and accurate care. Currently, we handle minor burns (up to 20%) that do not require ICU care, as we are not equipped with critical care infrastructure.

Initial Care:

- Medications & Dressings: Prevents complications.
- Surgery: For severe burns.

Burn Contractures:

- Common Areas: Hands, neck, elbows.
- Care: Multidisciplinary approach to improve function.

CO2 Laser Treatment:

- Device: Pixel CO2 for scar treatment.

First Aid:

1. Move Away: Remove burned clothing.
2. Cool: Use running water for 20 minutes.
3. Dress: Cover with a clean cloth.
4. Seek Care: Consult a burn specialist.
